Cyril’s Edge – 25 November 2021

It’s time for our weekly look at the soccer action coming up – let me know what you think of my predictions!

Arsenal vs Newcastle
The Gunners will look to bounce back following their loss at Anfield. The Magpies will have their work cut out if they want to claim their 1st EPL win. Eddie Howe would love to give his new bosses a huge win at the Emirates. But we see a comfortable WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS for Arsenal.

Liverpool vs Southampton
This will be an absolute mountain to climb for the Saints. If they can get a draw from this game, it will be as good as three points. Liverpool were rampant in their last game against the Gunners. They will aim to pick up another convincing win, which is expected of them this weekend. Liverpool WIN by 3+ goals

Brighton vs Leeds
The Doves enjoyed a good start to the season but haven’t tasted victory for some time. Leeds has been struggling in the basement despite the attractive brand of football they continue to play. Brighton has the better head-to-head record, and it looks like Leeds will continue to ship in goals. We see a home win for Brighton UNDER 2.5 GOALS

Juventus vs Atalanta
The Doves enjoyed a good start to the season but haven’t tasted victory for some time. Leeds has been struggling in the basement despite the attractive brand of football they continue to play. Brighton has the better head-to-head record, and it looks like Leeds will continue to ship in goals. We see a home win for Brighton UNDER 2.5 GOALS

Villarreal vs Barcelona
Both Spanish clubs were involved in midweek UCL action. New boss Xavi couldn’t sprinkle his magic yet as they were held to a goalless draw against Benfica. Villarreal was humbled at home by Man United. The Yellow Submarine is a tough nut to crack at home. This could mean that Barca might have to wait longer to hand Xavi his win. We see a DRAW UNDER 4.5 GOALS

Man City vs West Ham
Despite their loss to Wolves last weekend, the Hammers have indeed been impressive under David Moyes. City is improving and looking likely to keep their title. This clash at home will not be a walk in the park for Pep Guardiola and his stars. I suspect a tight game and brave enough to give a WIN to WEST HAM

Burnley vs Tottenham
Spurs gave Antonio Conte his 1st win. This clash away to the Clarets will be difficult. Sean Dyche’s men are tough at home and always organized. Burnley has it in them to sneak a win, but SPURS will come away with a WIN UNDER 2.5 GOALS

Chelsea vs Man United
The expectation here is a Chelsea win and nothing else. Given their form and crushing win over Juventus in the UCL, this could be a comfortable three points. United bounced back with an impressive showing against Villarreal. Their win secured their spot in the next round. This is an ideal clash for Sunday evening football and I think UNITED are going to STEAL THE WIN
